I drew each day on this 35-foot-long handscroll for 20 months, from January 2008 through August 2009. I used symbols to track each day’s meditation practice, which included sitting, walking, mantra recitation, and other contemplative forms. When the scroll was first exhibited at the University of Colorado Art Museum in early 2010, it was placed on a large table and viewers were invited to use gloves to roll it so that new areas were visible.
